People often add too much salt in their recipes without realizing it until it’s too late, but do not worry. There is a way to fix this! Add two peeled and chopped raw potatoes to the dish, and then allow it to simmer for around 15 minutes. The potatoes help absorb the extra salt. For a dish that is tomato-based, just put a few more tomatoes in and let them cook until they’re tender. These will dilute the extra salt...,

Baking is a food cooking method using prolonged dry heat acting by convection, rather than by thermal radiation, normally in an oven, but also in hot ashes, or on hot stones.[1] The most common baked item is bread but many other types of foods are baked. Heat is gradually transferred "from the surface of cakes, cookies and breads to their centre. As heat travels through it transforms batters and doughs into baked goods with a firm dry crust and a softer centre".,

It's sad that SRT is longer offered as a subject on its own, but intergrated into Kemahiran Hidup as an elective (Ekonomi rumah tangga). Form 1 only learns batter, kuih, cooking terms and Form 2 learns one dish meals and baking only starts at Form 3.
It's a lot simplified now.

From what I heard from my MIL, during her days in the early 70's, the Home Science students even takes up all catering jobs in school and are trained to do mass cooking for special occasions.

It just gets more and more simple...

BTW, I'm still keeping the recipe book from my KH (ERT) classes
